Is the level 5 Diploma course accredited?

Can I join the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)?

When you graduate, you can complete a BACP Certificate of Proficiency assessment to become a registered member (MBACP).

Can I become an accredited counsellor after I qualify?

As a qualified counsellor, you can work towards accreditation with the NCP, BACP or governing body of your choice.

What is Integrative Counselling?

There are different types of counselling or therapeutic modalities: Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and more.

Integrative Counselling is an inclusive, multidimensional approach that integrates knowledge and skills from the different therapeutic modalities. Integrative Counsellors draw on a range of therapeutic approaches  in practice.

On this course we cover: Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Psychodynamics Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Gestalt Therapy, Couples Counselling and Family Counselling

How many students are in a class?
The maximum number of students is  usually 25 per class.

Do students on the Diploma course organise their own placements?

Students are encouraged to organise their own placement. However, UKAIT, can provide some assistance with the process.
Students are encouraged to find a placement by the beginning of the second year of the Diploma course.

Are all course materials included?

UKAIT provides all course materials (e.g. handouts, PowerPoint displays, videos, audio files, etc.). Most of these are provided via our extensive website.
