This is a combined study course, in which you will gain a Professional Practitioner/ Level 4 Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy AND a Level 3 Diploma in Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprogramming. In addition, you will receive a Certificate of Achievment for Psychodynamic studies.
Psychodynamics posits that childhood experience shapes our psychological development and relationships in adulthood. It is a core part of the curriculum as we need to have a deep understanding of unconscious determinism; how unconscious forces are not DEAD and BURIED, but buried alive. These forces drive our actions from beyond the conscious threshold.
Both courses are accredited. The Clinical Hypnotherapy Diploma is accredted by both the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) and the Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH).
The EMDR Diploma is accredited by ACCPH
N.B. This course is NOT accredited by or associated with EMDR Europe or EMDRIA. This course does not make you eligible to join the EMDR Association, the EMDRIA, or to become an EMDR Europe practitioner. It is independently accredited by the ACCPH
However, on completion of the course you can join the General Hypnotherapy Register and become a member of the ACCPH, a professional body maintainng professional standards.

Course Cost:
The total cost of the course is £1399.
This can be paid by a £399 non-refundable deposit, which must be paid on enrolment. Plus 10 x monthly payments of £100 – Sept 23 to June 24. The fee includes two spervision sessions whilst completing client hours.
Selection Process and Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this course as thorough training will be given. However, To be accepted onto any of our courses, trainees will need to demonstrate evidence of the following qualities, or the potential for developing them:
- Self-awareness, maturity and stability.
- Ability to make use of and reflect upon life experience.
- Capacity to cope with the emotional demands of the training undetaken.
- Ability to cope with the intellectual and academic requirements.
- Ability to form a helping relationship.
- Ability to be self-reflective and use both positive and negative feedback.
- Awareness of the nature of prejudice and oppression.
Each application will be considered subjectively
Learning Outcomes
| By the end of the course candidates should be proficient in the use of the following range of psychotherapeutic skills: · Initiating a therapeutic interaction (contracting, confidentiality with limitations, time boundaries, organisational requirements) · Using active listening skills learned to function competently in the interaction. · Concluding each individual session and ending a series of sessions. · Presenting an adequate understanding of the hypnotherapeutic and EMDR process, including client assessment and intervention planning. · Demonstrate a commitment to anti-oppressive practice and non-discriminatory use of therapeutic skills. · Articulate their own philosophical approach to therapy, to conceptualise case material and the therapeutic process and to show a deep understanding of Hypnotherapy and EMDR · Reflect constructively on themselves, their own life experiences, and their interactions with others and evidence their own personal and professional growth processes ·Evaluate how developing self-awareness can contribute to the effectiveness of the therapeutic relationship and process ·Risk management in a therapeutic interaction The importance of supervision in counselling practice |
Assessment
Assessment is via written and practical assignments, on-going observation, and case studies. In addition, you will have to complete 10 supervised client hours before graduating.
